Welcome to the Year of the Sales Engineer!!

Happy New Year from the National Society of Sales Engineers (NSSE).

As we look to the year ahead, we are faced with a great opportunity to continue the momentum we started as an NSSE community. Here at NSSE, we strive to constantly inspire our members to learn, grow and challenge themselves. As we enter 2019, NSSE has 2 big challenges for you that will help you develop skills and traits which will prepare you to pursue a sales engineering career. Both the Virtual National Sales Engineering Competition and the National Sales Engineering Convention in the Fall are open to all Members and professionals. Not a member yet? In 2019, scientists are poised to unlock the quantum revolution. We now live in a world where driverless cars and robots landing on Mars are a reality. Employment of sales engineers is projected to grow 10 percent from 2018 to 2028, a faster rate than the average for all occupations. As a wider range of technologically sophisticated products comes on the market, sales engineers will be in demand to sell these products and services.

Are you looking for a New Year’s Resolution? Make your resolution joining NSSE and learning about Sales Engineering as a potential career. Do you love technology, problem solving, collaboration and have great social skills? This career could be a great fit for you.

Check out our website: for upcoming blogs, podcasts and webcasts. We have been blessed with great contributors such as John Care, Mastering Technical Sales and Marjorie Abdelkrime, Chief of Staff, Sales Engineering at VMware. We have many more talented professionals that have joined us in 2019 to contribute content, advice and mentorship.

As always, please let us know how we can improve the content we provide. We look forward to meeting you in 2019 at the Virtual National Sales Engineering Competition and the National Sales Engineering Convention

Happy New Year and may this be the best Year of the Sales Engineer we have all experienced!

Warmest Wishes,
